Meet Mercedes

I am an acrylic artist who picked up a paintbrush a few years ago as a way to manage my stress and to uplift myself. At that point looking in the mirror was painful because I hardly recognized the person looking back.  
I am moved to create art to not only capture powerful moments but to show that beauty and emotion can be portrayed in any shade. My art shows the beauty of unconventional body types, shades, and expressions while promoting self-love and empowerment.
I want to create a community through my art that encourages women to love all shades of themselves regardless of where they are goal-wise. We are still lovable and desirable even if the final product is pending.
